Clinical Outreach Program

The Outreach Program at Canadian Therapeutic College is a community-based program which educates and supports the public's wellness efforts while exposing our students to a variety of health conditions and situations that they may not see while at our student clinic.

A group of students, along with a Registered Massage Therapist (supervisor) go-out into the community to practice their skills within 3 main components of the Outreach Program. Medical, Athletic and Community-based fund raising.

Some outreach locations within the medical component of our program have included long-term care facilities through Joseph Brant Hospital, working with the physically disabled through groups such as the March of Dimes, Multiple Sclerosis Society and other specialty groups.

Our athletic component has proven to include some exciting endeavours such as working with the Hamilton Tiger Cats, Ballet Ouest de Montreal and a multitude of running and cycling races and fundraisers.

The Canadian Cancer Society, Burlington Art Centre, Royal Botanical Gardens and the Halton Sexual Assault Center have been among the groups who have organized sporting events to raise money with the Canadian Therapeutic College aiding their athletes by providing massage therapy at the sporting event.
